Executives from Chinese power grid companies from all over China gathered at a technical conference on distributed temperature sensing for power cable monitoring in Xiamen, a coastal city in south eastern Fujian province. The conference with contributions from scientific lectures about the measurement principle and temperature data analysis to practical case studies with focus on application know how was organised by LIOS' partner company in China Sindia Instruments Co.,Ltd. (Beijing). The exiting finale was an excursion to a nearby 220kV substation with LIOS DTS equipment and real time thermal rating data processing.
