Application
In the year 2002 “Electricite de France” (EDF) kicked off a pilot project for the prevention and risk analyses of the internal erosion of embankments. Crucial part of this project is a feasibility study for the use of DTS technology (RAMAN-Reflectometry) for the monitoring of the integrity of earth embankments. This application requires very precise temperature measurement devices to detect seepages in dykes. During this feasibility study DTS- products from different manufactures were used.
